We took a walk into the local village, Capmany, this morning, found the cafè/bar and got an ice cream and found the deli and got lunch, a nice walk around the narrow streets before we headed back to the site. After lunch we had a game of pétanque and chilled out in the sun. This evening we will pack up ready for our move tomorrow for the first of our longer stays.

... a precarious pathway hacked out of the mountain side, impressive drops too. Cold at night, zero centigrade but a clear day on the 15th for a walk around the passerelles (bridges and galleries) along the cliff sides and over the torrent) up by the side of the Caranca river and back high on the opposite valley side. ... we got to the hotel Margarit and the lovely Maria came out to show us where to park, needless to say, a death-defying manoeuver in the depths of a cavernous garage!

However, all was fine with our comfortable room and off we went to find a very pleasant lunch in the town square. After this leisurely restoration, we crossed the river Onyar to the old town to explore the considerable history ...

... used here in walls, roads and houses is amazing, and some so very old , so much work! ,
We saw older cyclists, hikers and Harley bikers near the lighthouse before heading up the mountain and through the 18 roundabouts on our way to Nice! Only 580klms - great roads and maybe stop of at Nimes in France to see the famous Aqueduct I saw 40 years ago if I see a sign off the tollway! Calideques has been a very interesting less than 24 hour visit!!
