... houses and small medieval villages. Just before we arrived in Girona we went through a city park that had tall narrow maple trees, all lined up in rows and columns. It was a different experience to be in a planted and organized forest. We arrived in the romantic city of Girona and stayed at the modern Llegendes Hotel. The hotel was located in the heart of the city next to the Basilica and we had a room with ...

Immediately, we have decided to stay for at least two nights and depending on the weather, we may stay longer. And off to Argeles in the afternoon, so that David can swim in the sea. The sand is more fine grit, and so less messy than the fine sand elsewhere. A wonderful day. Tomorrow, we are trying another beach further up the ...

... be coming in the opposite direction at that moment! Back on track, we found the aire. Good facilities, plenty of space, but soulless. We drove Smartie into Collioure and port Vendres. Collioure was pedestrianised and busy. Not my type of town. Some fabulous views - the castle and the seafront, but Port Vendres was much nicer. More people watching. A busy commercial port, but also ...
