... So with a very full tummy we walked around the town. We had had to pay to enter the town as it is a Unesco World Heritage site. It was beautiful although even here they have a problem with rubbish. I just can't understand it, this is a tourist place, unbelievable. It is a walled town (10 hectares) that used to have a fort there as well. The ruins of the fort are still there and the town still functions ...

      • Church of the Dormition of St Mary - traditional paintings and setup of an orthodox church. We had a very good guide here, ...

... climbed another hill to see another fortress. This one was different in that 1000 people still live in houses up the top. There was a great view of the town and we spent a while exploring. We looked into an old water cistern but Shelley and I made a quick exit when we heard rats everywhere. After a nosey through town and a very cheese and yuk toasted sandwich thing we headed back to the hostel for a few hours to plan where to head next.
After our climb we decided ...

... to the hostel. Met up with an English guy, Jack we met in Sarande and headed to watch a football game that night. They had set up this cool outdoor venue with a huge screen and really cheap beer halls and hot dog stands so just chilled there, drank cheap beer an watched the football. Decided we wanted to spend more time in Montenegro, so the next day we headed off with Jack to bus off into Montenegro. The bus took us to the closest town near the border ...
