... Our walk was over by mid-afternoon so we had a lazy time of it. It remained sunny and cloudy until this evening when the sky cleared. Once the sun goes down, the temperature drops quite significantly.

They live in a beautiful big house with lots of design furniture, right up my street of course ! Eames chairs, Corbusier chair etc. We got spoiled with cakes, drinks and a nice dinner in their beautiful big garden. Not so nice was that we received news from Daan our neighbor that our terrace furniture was destroyed by hail last night. Anyway, we had a lovely evening and went to bed in the visitors room made up for us. Mylene is really sweet! She is making exquisite things ...

Yesterday we left the town of Besse-et-St-Anastaise, a medieval town in the Puys du Dome region of Auvergne. This was another magic spot we lucked upon, (thank you Google) staying in the ramparts of the old fort. Our front gates were actually set in the old town wall.
