Its absolutely gorgeous. We anchored and put our dinghy in the water and headed to town about 5 minute dinghy ride ...

Oranjestad, Aruba divearuba... that we wanted to go motorcycle off-roading. Considering that we had already completed the USA 4 CORNERS (http://www.travelpod.com/travel-blog-e ntries/a3dennert/3/1207166220/tpod.html ), we thought it would be fun to now complete the ARUBA 2 CORNERS - lol; and so we did. Patrick joined us on this outing. We rented our bikes from George's Cycle Center. This was a fantastic and memorable ...
Oranjestad, Aruba a3dennert... 30PM. The girls wanted to go swimming in the pool. The boys were preoccupied watching the Master's and I am doing laundry. So the girls had fun in the Jacuzzi instead. We really like the Marriott. It smells so good when you come into your room. The room was clean and it smells clean. The bed is comfortable. The duvet comforter is so soft and there's an abundance of pillow that is so fluffy and cuddly.
Oranjestad, Aruba bakasyonistaWe will be moving to the Marriott Surf Club tomorrow, we have to finish what food we have left. I cooked corn beef for breakfast. As I opened the can, the oil was dripping out of it. The lard settled at the bottom. Yikes. I just had peanut butter sandwich for breakfast. Then I prepared hotdog sandwiches for lunch. I don't know where we gonna be at lunch time. At least we have something to eat whenever we get hungry. I told the kids that they are welcome to join me and Daddy to ...
Oranjestad, Aruba bakasyonista... a fantastic day!

Aruba is located 20 miles off the coast of Venezuela and belongs to the Netherlands. It is quite small in size being 19.6 miles long and 6 miles wide. Approximately 30,600 people live in Oranjestad, being the capital, and 105,600 live on the island of Aruba. Dutch is the official language but English is quite spoken as well.

My shore excursion was booked through Princess Cruise a while back. I had chosen ...
Oranjestad, Aruba momentsintime... there, there was one tiki bar that I looking for that I could not find. The bars we did find, did not have a very beach feel. We hit up the downtown to go out to bars/clubs. There was a pretty sketchy street. They have more places though, that seem to get going late.

All in all aruba was nice, I enjoyed my tour. The diving was ok, I like reefs more than wreaks. The seafood was delicious, I do wish though that the Aruban culture was a bit more prevalent.
Oranjestad, Aruba sasull... as possible with the landscape, before we are off on our own in our vehicle. The landscape in Aruba is very much similar to those of other Caribbean islands. With the exception, that not much rain comes their way [Aruba is outside the hurricane belt so an ideal location during American summer getaways] so the land is full of cacti and few vegetation. The trade winds are a welcome distraction from the ...
Paradera, Aruba nofixedplans... and we were ready to board our flight by 6:35. Too bad we didn't have the right to board until 7:15. So we sat and ate a healthy Tim Hortons breakfast instead. Once the plane was boarded we were informed that there would be about a half an hour delay as the fuel had not properly filled the plane. Just our luck! However, as promised half an hour later, we were pushing away from the fuel tank and ready to take off. That was the end of our travel troubles. The ...
Palm Beach, Aruba kimberleydI experienced the total solar eclipse in Aruba 1998! At about 2:00pm the moon started overcoming the sun and it became totally dark for a few minutes. At that point, just for that short time, I felt as if I were in a dream. The feeling was undescribable!
