... around...deciding to walk our 5 miles around the Promenade deck. We don't get started until 8-ish, but it is early enough that there aren't a lot of others out walking yet. The deck and some of the stairs are wet from the spray of the ocean last night.

After the walk we shower and, feeling virtuous, have breakfast.

It's a lazy day...Jeff reads while I nap. At 2 we wander down to the Princess Theater to see the movie 'Philomena' which ...

San Nicolas Children's Parade

... Parade and the Old Mask Parade (ending in the burning of the Momito).

Today we celebrate the Children's Parade of San Nicolas. A parade for children of over four hours is almost torture and it is impossible for the children to be disciplined most of the time. But look at it from this point of view: if you let your children get accustomed to carnival parades at a young age, by the time they’re adults, they understand what it is all about and know how to ...

... aren't something we take for granted. We caught up on the lack of food over the last 6 months and made up for it by gorging on copious amounts of free food, cocktails, wine and beer for 14 glorious days - where the calories don't count and tummies are sucked in for photos. If any cruise agent offers any type of upgrade, a drinks package is the one you want! As for our room; a whole room to ourselves for 14 days with our own toilet, shower, wardrobe, drawers, lounge and BALCONY! ...

... me, thought about having a beer in the airport but at $9 I thought do some meditating/deep breathing for free. We arrived at the hotel and actually completely unpacked our bags for the first time in 3 months.

Next we were going to scope out the shops across the street but were intercepted by staff who told us there was a manager's cocktail hour. I ended up winning a dinner for 2 in the raffle...yippeeee!
