Spent the morning with another "Ass" family member

... last week. No buses in sight when we crossed over the road but plenty of touts which we by-passed. We continued walking to the next lot of touts and I asked where the open air buses were - she said they were not there today. We were directed to another person who would take us in his mini van for a quick tour of the island for $20 each. Oh Oh … the minivan had very dark windows so no good for taking photos while driving. In the end the tout got someone called ...

So far and yet so near

... around...deciding to walk our 5 miles around the Promenade deck. We don't get started until 8-ish, but it is early enough that there aren't a lot of others out walking yet. The deck and some of the stairs are wet from the spray of the ocean last night.

It's a lazy day...Jeff reads while I nap. At 2 we wander down to the Princess Theater to see the movie 'Philomena' which ...

... warm turquoise water. Pretty cool beach to end our 2 week island hopping.

It's probably come across as if we haven't enjoyed our 14 night stay on the Love Boat, but in actual fact we have. Its been the ideal way to see so much while eating every 18minutes. A great mix of relaxing sea time with the bustle of port days in between. It's interesting you know, after 8 islands, 6 back to back, you become very blasť and many islands become same-same. It's only after ...

Day 3, Saturday, March 23,2013

A travel blog entry by roamed on Mar 23, 2013

... a cloudy day but we didn't mind.
We took a walk to the Da store which is less than a mile down the road going east. It is like one of our large pharmacies. Here they sell candy in bins and you choose what you like. I come here every time I come to Aruba since they have Dutch licorice(salted) and regular. I got 15 different kinds of licorice! I am a kid in a candy store. On the way back ...
