On Monday, I had an awesome cooked breakfast in the hostel then Filip came with me to the bus station to wave me off. What a legend. He's heading back to Belgium tonight. All by myself again. Sniff sniff....The Cruz del Sur bus was pretty awesome. They gave me dinner and breakfast and there was bus bingo as well as films. I enjoyed watching Rio. ... at a little cafe, learnt a little more spanish, there word for set menu and rice pudding. Walking back we walked via the beach, by the fish market there was hundreds of large pelicans flying around and on the shore was a group of seals or sea lions (not sure of the difference), it was amazing.
Next stop San Pedro de Attacama this is in the middle of the desert about 8 hours away. Think im gonna miss the ...

Enkele maanden geleden, ver weg van hier, ben ik deze reis begonnen met 15 andere reizigers. Het lijkt al een eeuwigheid geleden. Na die 3 maanden in Ecuador is iedereen zijn eigen weg uitgegaan. ... Iquique had its heyday in the nitrate boom, the town was still pretty big apparently now more as a beach/surfing destination for Chilenos (thankfully it wasn’t high season!).. First impressions weren’t good however as we ambled around a deserted town at night searching for a hostel. Eventually we just settled on something for 1 night and found something nicer the next day.

Iquique though was interesting enough to keep us busy for a few days. ...
