... we had lunch in the museum restaurant called the Lab Cafe. Typically food here - hot dogs, burgers and sandwiches. However, I did have fun with their Coca-Cola "Freestyle" machine experimenting with different flavored Cokes. The "orange" flavored Coke was off base. The vanilla Coke was my favorite.

... to head out then to go try to get to the park & then do lunch after. We checked out probably around 10am then it was about 45mins to Montezuma Castle which was a building in the rocks. Once we made it to the park it was pretty crowded & mr didn't seem to want to walk which meant he would be on someone's back which didn't sound fun to me or Jon really. ... Eagles game, so we sat and had a beer and watched too. It was a nice end to the night and we got to catch up on emails or other internet activities as we would down the evening. We had an early flight back to Long Beach so we turned in by 10pm.

It was an amazing weekend filled with equal parts culture, art, sport and cuisine. Can't wait to see where our on-the-road 9ers club takes us to next year!

Today we drove from Las Vegas, Nevada to Phoenix Arizona so that we could visit Marlenis. Marlenis is Bertha's (Duny's mom) close friend. The drive to Phoenix was interesting and scorching. We stopped to see the Hoover Dam and then debated on whether or not to see the Grand Canyon.
