We're up and out of here... 7:00am (CT): Branson, Missouri. We're up and drinking coffee and preparing to leave Branson this morning. After a quick breakdown and pack up, we're on the road at 9:25am. The roads from here to Memphis are mainly all 2 lane roads and winding and curvy. ... was already filling up. We found our 'good' seats (wayyyyy in the back). Oh well, we could still see really well. The show was really good and was a mixture of rock and roll, blues and country. After the show we headed to McDonald's for some french fries for Margaret, along with everyone else in Branson with a 'trainee' taking the orders... it took forever. ... Depending on the track of the storm after landfall we could see as much as 6.5 inches of rain here in Branson which is already saturated from previous storms and would be devastating to the area. ... the 7-mile ride to Onyx Cave. The motorcycle ride down the hill to the cave was awesome, really steep, narrow and twisty. I was looking forward to the ride back up. The cave itself was nice. It looked like a little one man operation, with headsets and self-guided stations explaining the cave. Since it was early, Jody and I had the cave to ourselves and thoroughly enjoyed taking our time going through.

... are also many wonderful places to ride motorcycles throughout the mountains. There are riding maps everywhere, and everywhere advertises as "biker friendly". There are biker resorts advertising covered and locked motorcycle parking, and I even saw a resort that advertised as "motorcycles only". It must work, because I couldn't find an available treehouse rental, so we settled on a rock cottage, complete with fireplace and jacuzzi ...
