The view from the ship of traditional white houses with blue trim was unmistakeable Greek! We took a water taxi from the ship to Mykonos to walk around town and enjoy the picture-postcard views. The weather was slightly warmer than yesterday and we enjoyed a rain-free day. The sun actually shone brightly this ...

... but with the wind stronger than the day before and the sky looking rather bleak we were not too fussed. The fact that we had seen little of the island didn't overly play on our minds as we had used the time to relax and plan the next month of our trip in addition I think that we were a bit depleted when it came to caring about ruins, churches and temples.

After an hour or so paddling in the salty waters we made our way back to our hotel to check out and chill out by the pool until our ferry transfer arrived just before 3pm.With our bags loaded it was another brief drive, this time via the back streets of town to the port where we waited with a few hundred other tourists for our ferry to arrive.

With no-one in bed before 11 last night the kids slept in late. The rocky pull into Mykonos had Gab awake at 3am while the rest of us slept until a cruisy 9am. We had a bus across the port and started a stroll around the foreshore. We bumped into the rest of our party on a little beach where the cousins had a little play seeing if they could reach the big expensive boats with their rocks - healthy game!
    We did ...
