We were fortunate enough on our last day in Helsinki to stumble upon the Herring Festival. A once a year event, the festival is primarily, as the name would suggest a celebration of all things herrings. The local fishermen back their trawlers up to the Helsinki dock and serve all sorts of tasty "fishy" treats. I am not sure why but the whole experience reminded me of the Monty Python Fish ...
