The other highlight of Helsinki was the Design Museum. Despite the fact that only half the exhibition was on display, the history of Finnish design is amazing.

We said goodbye to the herring festival and caught the plane for the three hour flight to Rome. More about our stay in the Trastevere in the next post. L.

This is where the 1st stone was laid. It's called the King's Gate. No matter where I found myself on the island, it always felt like I was the only one there. It's just so vast and open.

The train station was only a 10 minute walk from the hotel, so after breakfast we lugged our stuff over to the station to catch our 11am train.
