Day 268 5 hrs, 7.6 kms Day Totals: 16 hrs, 24.6 kms I am now in Prato province. Yes, these are some very small provinces here in Tuscany. But something seems amiss here. The architecture is Italian. The landscape is Italian. But every person I pass is Chinese! People walking... people on bicycles... I peer through the windows of the cars... Chinese as well! First it's just a few random people here and there. Then it gets to be more... and more... and more... ...
Today sees us have a leisurely morning before meeting our guide at the Academia Museum to admire the works of Bennicci, Da Vinci and of course Michaelangelo's gorgeous sculpture of David! After a brief lesson and tour we head out for a spot of shopping in more newly discovered markets, building an appetite for a yummy lunch in Vecchio Piazza.
