... had over 3 glasses...and that's before 11am! He took us through the incredible caves where barrels are left in a perfect temp to age. Really fantastic as it was a Chateau and all the stone was quarried from those caves, leaving tunnels and smaller homes, still had all the alcoves for pigeons to use as messengers. We got to our campsite nice and early to chill...this moving about can be hard ...

... one each day. We got into a bit of a routine with 'croissants', 'pain' and 'baguette', as well as 'chocolat au pain' for Riley. I could easily live in Amboise. It has all the services and facilities of a bigger town, but still a unique and village feel to the place. And even in winter it's picturesque. And pretty friendly too. We even got to experience the French health system as Ellen needed to visit the doctor. €23 for the visit! So much ...

... to let us taste some weird sugary salts. They reminded me of those little packets of sugar you can buy in candy shops which explodes in your mouth and that opened my appetite.
Luckily, our correspondents had prepared a little buffet for us, so we could eat a little bit. I don't think the buffet survived more than a minute or two. It was amazing how fast everyone finished it. You barely got the time to admire it before it was gone. During the afternoon, we played games ...

... button to push and the water was so hot you couldn't stand under it and then it stopped after about 10 seconds and you had to push it again, useless really, but the views were amazing and the sunset.
So all for now, just killing time till the caravan comes thru town and then the race. After that we have yet again another 180ks to drive before finding a camp spot , not sure where yet.And I wonder whats for dinner tonite ...
