Back in March, we developed a friendship with a junior high school in Tours through an Ashley Hall alum (and an alum of the Immersion program.) Julie Randazzo, who now lives full-time in Tours as a college student, has been teaching English at this school all year, and they recently inquired about having American pen-pals. Thursday was a holiday here in France, so some friends and I had a wine and cheese picnic next to the Loire. My house mother, Francoise, thought it was very amusing that I was going to bring the wine in a water bottle to share. She advised I take cups, and offered to let me borrow some.
