... decided to go for the bike ride regardless. With the bikes off loaded and the dogs trailer assembled and attached off we set, first setback, the cycle path access point was blocked due to roadworks, not to be put off we went up and over the flood barrier and continued on our ride. As we drive through Normandy, thinking of John Ponte, it's real Cidre country (not you Adam, Daniel or Emma, it’s not Dark Fruit Cidre !!!!)

... a bit cold. Everyone warms up with a wine tasting at a local shop.

Returning to the hotel, we have some time to pack for departure tomorrow. After a brief farewell party in the hotel's bar we drive to the town of Tours for dinner -- a gastronomic extravaganza at a local Michelin-rated restaurant: Charles Barrier. It is a perfectly delicious ending to an opulent and extravagant tour!

We return to our very own Chateau in time for a break, followed by dinner in the hotel dining room. The menu tonight is - Entree: Roasted scallops with almond milk, pumpkin. Main: "Remolata" guinea-fowl supreme, turnips and glazed carrots. Postre: Cow cheeses assortment. Dessert: Fried apples and pears. Coffee or tea with petits fours.
