Our long weekend ended in Heidelberg which is one of our favorite cities so far. After finding our hotel and parking about a half mile away, we stopped for lunch at Cafe Romantic. As it turns out, it wasn't very romantic at all and left disappointed, but we moved on to the bridge and then the castle. ... The lens is handy because it is a telephoto so you can really go in close for the details. But the problem is that the lens doesn't focus very quickly and lacks image stabilisation, which is something that you really need at 300mm! Still it is much better than nothing. Good telephoto lenses can cost more than 1,000 Euros.

As a result I ended up having to use a relatively high ISO of 800 to bump up the shutter speed. A quicker shutter speed ...

... although not outstanding.

Really cool and outstanding was my little trip up the castle. I walked down but drove up with a cool lift :-) The castle is absolutely beautiful, a must see. I only had little time so I went to see the pharmacy museum in the castle walls, rather then visiting the castle rooms.

I would have loved to stay longer still am very happy with what I saw. The castle / the ruin of the castle is charming and beautiful.

It was in an amazing building in the middle of busy traffic like a little island or boat, upstairs and across a bridge.
