After a quick shower we headed out towards Zona Rosa for lunch. Zona Rosa is one of the popular areas in Medellin for restaurants and bars. We had nice pizza in Il Forno and then an affogatto in the Juan Valdez coffee shop.
Back at the hostel, we got talking to some other guests and ended up drinking until midnight.

We catch the train and the teleferico out to Parque Arvi. The teleferico was incredible. It seemed to go on and on over the hills of Medellin before reaching the park. When we boarded the plane we were greeted by a nice surprise. Four Chilean girls from the yoga farm who were also flying to Medellin. So we caught the bus from the airport to el poblado, the richest area in Medellin. Also with lots of hostals. It was dark when we arrived and way too hard to find accommodation for 6 people so we had to say our goodbyes as we found seperate ...
Finally I had the welcome to Medellin I was hoping for. I arrived to a posse of Colombians hollering, cheering and shouting for their returning loved ones. When I was passing passport controls I thought there was a football match on the TV’s and that was the explanation for the loud cheering. In our one hour ride we visited all the highlights, including Pablo Escobar's home and disco tech, the homes he bought his mother and daughter, and his escape tunnel through an island.
