    ... picked up and re-checked our bags, and then Zsuzsi picked us up for a quick visit!! Fun to see the family and the new house. But the real excitement began when we got back to the airport: 1)lined up downstairs until we were allowed to move upstairs to check-in, 2)waited in line 2 until we were allowed to advance to the actual check- in line, 3)4 rows deep until security check, 4)waited in line at gate to find out the 8:59 flight delayed until 10 pm.     ... You may know that ancient human bones and artefacts were discovered in 1856 (3 years before Darwin's Origin was published) in the valley of the Neander river by a limestone quarry where the finds were made.Very impressive and we hope to have a longer lifespan than of that age.

    ... so we do have pictures of the cake after it was sliced. When George went for the camera we discovered they'd also decorated our cabin. We were both gobsmacked.     Turns out he actually was a fantastic cook. He made the most
    amazing mushroom pasta.
