... which draws water from 27m from the lake for the local drinking water, as well as numerous villages surrounding the lake. Little harbours were dotted with speed boats, with the sail club on the west coast. Wednesday, May 13. Monte Carlo – Grasse – Chambery. Drove through many, many tunnels to get to Grasse, the perfume capitol of the world, which is surrounded by jasmine and roses. On the way we saw the Bay of Cannes which was having a movie festival where many celebrities come from all over the world. We took a short tour of the famous Fragonard Perfume Factory in Grasse. They were quite informative and it's amazing how ...

... then the rain stopped and we looked at the map to see whether there was a better route. As usual TomTom had chosen the worst possible way so we started off again, still had to walk up a very steep hill for quite a few long bends but eventually could get back on and cycle, quite hot with all the walking so I had to take off the long trousers & back into shorts. Bit too soon as it started raining heavily ...
