... the local government at the time to indulge his lifestyle. We decided to stick to the main by of town and not venture into King Edward's lifestyle though. Later in the day we went to go see a sandcastle competition in Krk, the largest town and also the name of the island. The temperature again was around 37 Celsius so we took a break and went for ice cream. Em had had enough or fortress and old city walls at this ...

Our initial plan was to go to the island of Rab but we changed ideas ( we seem to change plans like some people change socks ) and headed in a slow roundabout way to the Plitvička (Plitvice) Lakes area. The roads there, despite having beautiful scenery were slow and it ended up taking several hours to ...

... coliseum off my list because this was 100x better in every way. Next, we were on to Rovinj. Here are some of the highlights from the coast: • Walked from our Airbnb down to the Adriatic. We highly anticipated jumping in the water and it was dreamy but- Ouch! There was no sand, just golfball sized rocks! • For dinner we tried local sea bass and it was fresh and fantastic! • We walked around old town, Grisa street, and did a bit of ...
