    Come to Como

    ... couple of kilometres from here). Exhausted we make our way back down, gelato to power up, ferry back to home and cook up dinner.
    Today we are back on the ferry to Como, walk along the foreshore to check out some large villas on the west side - now all owned by the Como Provincial Government, then onto the 'fast boat' and up to Menaggio which is midway north up the lake.     We arrived in this beautiful city at dusk so we weren't able to get the most out of it. Stayed there only for one hour and we spent that time in Parco Civico capturing the flickering lights of the city surrounded by mountains. The view from the shores of Lake Lugano was fascinating. It's truly a must-visit city and I'd love to go back and see it in broad daylight. ...

    ... of driving to do, so I needed the break. Topped up the engine oil and headed off again.
    It looked like I would be able to make it to Lago Maggiore before dinner time, get some snacks and drinks and go for a cruise along the lake shore.

    ... over there'. She just sat at the checkout and yelled and the tourist had no clue what she meant, but she wouldn't go and help.

    We had the same thing at a petrol station, we were waiting in line to fill up and one of the staff started yelling and waving at us to go around the other side. We were waiting for the side where our fuel cap was but apparently they can reach around the car here... So yeah people here are quite different to the other places we have been!!

    ... The picture of notes gives good details on the history. They also do Falconry exhibitions there but not on Wednesdays which is when we were there. I only took a few of pictures as in the rush to catch the ferry I left my camera at the apartment so used my phone. Next we ferry-hopped to Bellagio a very busy place, and did a 2 1/2 hour tour on foot. There are some very old hamlets in this provence ...
