In a nutshell- Cousin Corrado took us all over Lake Como, including to the castle where they filmed Casino Royale, and George Clooney's place! He took us up the mountain side. We always thought that we were at the top, but then we went higher! We went for a walk around the area. We went down to S. Segmente for an expresso and then up into the hills. We also went to Lugano Lido where Corrado works in Switzerland for a fun day of swimming. The ...

We were able to tour the Villa with a private ...

We decided to stay in Bellano for dinner vs. heading back to Varenna, showering, and getting ready to go out to eat again. We were hoping to find something quick and good where we wouldn't look too tacky in our hiking clothes. After several treks up and down the town - we weren't having any luck finding a place, the places we wanted to go all seemed closed and nothing ...

... way. We inquired about renting a boat or doing a kayak tour later in the week. It is quite popular and if you want to do this we'd recommend setting it up in as far in advance as possible. We wandered back, had some gelato, toured the church and we all met up by the water for a beer and quick lunch at a place called Splendide Bar & Restaurant.

Walking around Bellagio was great. Such a beautiful town (of course touristy as well) ...
