... spices, you may be able to cut down on the size of your portions. Salt does not count in this regard -in fact the contrary is true, as it makes you would like to keep eating. Just about any other spice, however, from garlic to hot peppers, will make you feel satisfied after eating a small or moderate amount. Day 294 2 hrs, 3.4 kms I thought I could catch a train from Bra on east to Asti, but no... I have to backtrack a long ways and make a big looparound unfortunately. My first stop, Cavallomaggiore is a small town with lots and lots of churches... several in each block. I stop in a shop and the shopkeeper gets to chatting with me and I ask her about it. "People are quite religious here" she goes on to tell me about the religious trips she has gone ...

... my attention. It runs diagonally through the city, lined with pleasant portico. There's a plaque that explains: one ruler decided thought this part of town was getting a bit run down, so he had the whole neighborhood demolished and a grand boulevard built to run through it. Not sure quite how to feel about that. Overall, I like this city. It's not going to make my Top Ten or even Top Twenty Italian cities... but definitely a worthwhile place to ...
