This was the first time i had travelled abroad by myself, i arrived in Limassol, my case had other ideas and stayed in Gatwick, thinking it would be better off there, instead of here with me. I waiting at Paphos Airport to be reunited with my luggage, everyone else had their luggage, but mine was refusing to come through, had to fill a form out …
... the big block party held on Sunday Night. Thousands of people gathered on the main street next to my hotel to dance the night away. There were different food trucks, and DJ's throughout the entire street. One could chose whatever music suited them best. It was fun to celebrate with the locals. Greek Easter is said to be bigger than Christmas around here. I truly believed it. Apart from Carnival, GLS took us on a tour of Kolossi Castle, ...
As I sit here waiting for it to be 1 am for the Super Bowl, my roommates are booking flights to go see the rest of Europe. And I sit and contemplate about where I am at. I spent a lot a lot a lot of money this week already. Everything over here is double of what it is in America in price, and even though I am in the cheaper part of Europe I don't know how the next four months are going to be with money. Even though I saved a lot, I am on my own ...
... church at the Anglican Church in Limassol followed by a Meza in the village of Lofou, about a thirty minute drive from the sea. Meza is a Greek term for small plates, family style. Today, we had a traditional Cypriot Meza. And, I am already seeing people I know. The British couple from last night came in shortly after we arrived! See pics below. Tomorrow evening Christin and I are off to ...
... to go somewhere else and not come here when I heard the name of the Chef. I happened to know him and have dined a couple of times at the Italian chic restaurant of Kolonaki where he previously worked for a year. It happens to be close to where we live.
My first thought when I heard the name was that the Londa is lucky to have him but Cyprus as well.

Historical Traveler Reviews Arsinoe Beach Hotel Limassol
Arssinoe beach hotel
March 2006 we have just returned from the Arsinoe Beach not on the beach) Hotel Hotel is ok but if you want a quiet holiday be warned there is a very large disco underneath that goes on until 5am seven nights a week!
dont book room 504 that plus the hot rod noises do not make for a relaxing holiday some may love all these factors Food good (repetitve after 2 weeks
most staff helpful) decor was a bit shabby in our opinion not updated as advertised Hope this helps
We really enjoyed our stay at the Arsinoe but were really disapointed with our room which was decidedly tatty compared to the hotels public amenities. We couldn't change rooms as the hotel was fully booked which was a great shame. It had a nice balcony overlooking the quieter of the two pools but the wallpaper was peeling off the walls, curtains were tatty and paintwork shoddy. We were so disappointed as we had chosen this hotel especially after looking around it on a previous holiday in Limassol.
I was pleased that we had got a really good price for the holiday because i would not have been happy if i had paid top rates.Don't be put off by this review though because perhaps we were just unlucky.
It's all been said, the food could be a little more adventurous, but everything else more than makes up fot it. Already booked up to go back and can't wait to see the wonderful staff again.
Got back from another amazing holiday at the arsinoe last month. It was me and my families 5th trip to the arsinoe and didn't let us down. It is a beautiful hotel with an amazing loving atmosphere, the rooms we had were in the newer part of the hotel which are clean simple and fore fill every need you would want during your stay. Being only 16 and my brother being 12 we need amusing because we get bored easily and at the arsinoe that was never the case my brother joined in on games of killer pool and darts, etc run by the hotel while I sunbathed with my mum and dad in the very attractive pool area at the back of the hotel which offers plenty of sun beds and umbrellas which can be used free of charge! We ate breakfast in the hotel which catered for everyone cereal, toast, and warm food as well which varied. Lunch is also served by the hotel which was usually a buffet but you could also choose from their lunchtime menu offering sandwiches chips and salads amongst other things. The evening meal was also a buffet it wasn't always amazing but you could always find something to suit you. In the evening the hotel usually had some entertainment going eg karaoke but if not the bar staff found some way of entertaining you must mention them George Yiannis, Andreas, Toni, Lambross and Harris lots of love to you all! Over all it was an amazing holiday and we are sure to return next year and make a 6th visit to the arsinoe xx
Not so Special
Oh dear, sorry to spoil the party but we found the Arsinoe Beach a very ordinary place and nothing special at all.We had two weeks HB with Airtours in Oct.05. I must say it was a very good price, but as the saying goes "you get what you pay for". The biggest disappointment for us was the food.We found it to be very boring after only a few days.Items available at breakfast and dinner were repeated at regular intervals. The rooms were very small, and if you are unlucky to have a room in the old part of the hotel,it can be very noisy at night.Rosy o`Gradys disco is situated in the basement and it is open until 4 am!! Holiday here if you wish but don`t say you haven`t been warned !!
We had 2 glorious weeks in The Arsinoe Hotel - the staff have to be the nicest we have met - the bar staff are one on their own for service and friendliness - superb.
We have just got back from arsinoe beach hotel last night and it was one of the most friendliest places I have ever been to! The staff are more then willing to help you with anything and believe me we needed them a few times! The bar staff Haris, tony, alex, yainnis and especially we cant forget george who made the holiday! We went with our family (a party of 10), we ate in every night, their was a 3 course meal and every morning we were given the choice of continental or pretty english meals! My only downfall is that maybe due to us going out of season my 2 and 5 year old were lonely (no kids clubs) or activities in the evening. I have been that impressed with it I am thinking of getting married at the hotel and are now making enquires for the coming 2 years!
Got back from the Arsinoe Beach Hotel last night. It was a fantastic hotel in a great resort. After reading some reviews on websites, my girlfriend and I were a little worried. When we arrived at the hotel we knew we had made the right choice, our first thought was 'this place is nice'.
Hi to everyone at the Arsinoe hotel!!! Staying here was the best hotel i've ever stayed in all the staff are soooo friendly e.g Andraos Alex Yanis and george who was funny and made our stay. Everyone welcomes you and you make plenty of friends there. I enjoyed Yanis's dancing so much but i wasn't sure about georges singing only joking. The pool is brilliant and so is the food and bar. I really loved staying here and i am definitley going back in a few years. I love and miss you all soooo much and hope to see you soon xxxx
