      I made a quick visit to the Cody Visitor Center and was wowed by the work by local artists in the gallery associated with it. That was the up - the down was confirmation that we would not be able to visit Yellowstone on this trip!

      My Thanksgiving was really nice this year. It was the first in a while where my grandparents were unable to make the drive down from Washington state to San Diego but I got to see my grandfather before Thanksgiving. In fact we got to give him a tour of the school and go out to a local restaurant. All which he approved of. I'm grateful that I got to spend the holiday with my family (last year I was celebrating Thanksgiving with a Chilean twist.)

      ... actually am not sure how the U of R did this, but both Jane Goodall and Maya Angelou came to campus to speak. Naturally, both events were sold out within days that the tickets were sold and our chapel was packed to the brim with people. Both women were phenomenal in their speeches and everyone was so focused that you could hear a pin drop in the crowd. What struck me in Jane Goodall's speech was how she shared what an impact her mother had on her growing up. Her mother was ...
