    ... for the great effort with a bung knee and all.....  Our Captain Andrew with his consistent cadence put a last ditch effort to pip Marty in the final straight, both men finishing well.  Keith "The man of steel".....has officially been given the dwarf name of "crampy" due to the fact that he cramped early on the ride, and anyone who rides cramping on a climb it is the worst thing to happen.....kudos to Keith and with the help of TT Tony ...

    The day started perfectly with cool clear weather and breakfast out by the river and a walk round the caravan park on the river bank. The drive to the south past 5th century ruins and steep farming land, was spectacular and then we stopped for coffee in Cordes, a world heritage listed hilltop town of about the 12th C before the unification of France.
