Matthias Church and ruin bars

A travel blog entry by neat.freak

Our goal today was to head up to the castle district to see the Matthias Church. We headed down to the waterfront, then walked to the foot of the Elizabeth bridge, where we finally found the Roman ruins under plexiglass windows- that's why we didn't notice them before! I've always been interested in WWII and the Holocaust, but when you watch a film in a city where the worlds largest genocide of a human race had victims and still has bodies in the ground, you will forever look at it differently. You're instantly awoken to a country that is saturated with unheard voices as you walk around. You're walking around in a city of graves.
