Off for a quick trip to the Flatiron Building on 22nd Street for a look, then Macy's for the crazy sales, past the Empire State building - did not go in, really long queue and a last look at the Chrysler Building before a last dinner at our local Deli.
... San Diego zoo. The flight, like yesterday's was mostly empty and I had the entire middle row to myself. 5 seats meaning I would be able to lie down and sleep the entire flight. ... that flight. After a quick one-hour layover in London, we boarded the twelve-hour flight to Johannesburg. I sat next to a nice young Scottish girl who was traveling to Cape Town with a group of friends, but we didn't chat much since it was an overnight flight and we both took advantage of the time to sleep. I did watch American Hustle at some point in the middle of the night, which was really quite good.
