Third Corner...can you see Key West from here?

... be the only combined shot we get on the trip. He also told us to look over the bulletin board at the Post Office which honors Four Corner's Riders. We stopped at the local Harley Davidson dealer and bought our Four Corners T-shirts. They even gave us a certificate for completing that corner at the dealer. After all this, we were on way again headed south for a change. Boy, that nice wind at our backs was now coming to haunt us. More on that later.

Grand Falls NB

Grand Falls, NB Traveling the highway between Quebec City and Riviere du Loup was tortuous. It was a horribly dull drive with nothing interesting to look at all. Not until we got closer to the New Brunswick border did the scenery open up. I live in the country just an hour outside of Ottawa and find the city encroaching on me more and more every year. We even are supposedly getting a Wal-Mart next year- the epitome of commercialism taking over small towns. I worry ...

Laundry Day

... make our first overnight appearance at one of these venerable parking lots. We had hoped for an early bed time, but discovered we had lost an hour as we had now entered the Atlantic Time Zone. As we were getting ready for bed, what should we hear, but a train!! Going by right behind the Walmart. Home sweet home (so we're coming to terms with). We were either all very tired, or the trains were not running over night. We all slept soundly.

... dark by the time we got there though so we only saw it from the lights on the dam. After that we went and visited Rays brother Howard at the hospital for a while and continued on to his other brother Conrad and his wife Helens place where we stayed the night and had breakfast the next morning. (cereal and a lot of muffins). Ray and Conrad went to visit Howard a last time ...

Acadia National Park

This new adventure began on June 15, 2003. I flew in to Portland Maine, rented a car and drove 177 miles to White Birches Campground outside of Acadia national Park. On June 16th I woke up at 7AM and went to Acadia National Park Visitor Center. I drove to Bar Harbor, a cute touristy town on Frenchman Bay. After exploring BarHarbor I did the 37-mile ...
