This morning, we awoke and left Sinaia in order to drive the 50km to Bran, where we would find Bran Castle. The sky was overcast and it was quite chilly, but we thought it was the perfect setting to visit the castle most often associated with Dracula. ... explaining the history of the square saying that all the buildings are from the in a German and Hungarian style and how that the council square used to have a big market on it before the communists got rid of the square and turned it into a car park. Once the went independent they decided to reconstruct the square and make it a place where people and meet and spend some time in coffee houses and restaurants. ... small cost. Jason and I shared a fried dough snack called langos and we had it with a cream and cheese on top, but sweeter options like chocolate were available too. We also bought a bean soup to share and then a local Romanian filled pretzel. Everything we ate was delicious and it was nice to share so we could try more. All around Brasov, there are numerous coffee vending machines and since it was so cold, I used a couple of these to buy a cup of coffee to keep me warm. ...
