... of storage space! Compared to my lovely room in the dungeons of Uhall last year, this room seems like paradise. It even has a private washroom, and mine is almost as big as the spacious room itself! Unfortunately, the shower doesn't have a door and is level with the bathroom floor, meaning my bathroom floods whenever I shower. This is not typical, so I wonder if I had come earlier if I would have got a better room? Also, my room fronts on to a noisy road with bars all around. It is ...
Bolzano, Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy bronwhyn... why the name has both an Italian and a German spelling. This is a very quaint town that looks to be fairly old with small winding pedestrian only streets. Street signs are here are written in Italian and German, and a vast amount of people walking around are speaking German. I took some pictures and got myself a quick bite to eat. I have seen a lot of people walking around carrying backpacks with hiking boots and trekking poles ...
Bolzano, Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy monkeytoes... returning to Cortina, Cindy slept off an upset stomach while the kids relaxed and I did a 10-mile run exploring south of Cortina. We all went on a stroll (hike is a bad word now) afterwards to enjoy the first extended period of sunshine since we arrived in Europe a week ago.
Cortina D'Ampezzo, Veneto, Italy brian796... were gone, Cindy and Alycia walked around town some and went to a market next to the hotel. They grabbed pizza at a new restaurant, which all of us returned to that night for a nice dinner. Trey and I ate several meals apiece in a single sitting to make up for the energy expended during the day. We have a newfound appreciation for the bikers competing daily in the Tour de France this month.

Alycia was feeling ill about 2 miles into the hike and rested at a picnic area while Cindy and I continued into a very rugged section of the hike. Later, we would discover that we had missed the unmarked turnoff for the falls. I made it out almost all the way to Paso di Limo before realizing the mistake. I backtracked to Cindy and we explored the wilderness some, finding some ...
... at the very start we had a very enjoyable and satisfying 300m vertical ascent and then a leisurely stroll back to the Lagazuio hut for a little celebration...
Day 4 saw us rounding Col de Bos and crossing the Lagazuoi Pass to Rifugio Averau. The day before we'd seen a Chamois mountain goat march straight past a whole army garrison and have a relaxed dump right in front of our noses as good omen for our first climb. Today we saw a family of Marmots ...
... t lead us to a championship. I have to separate myself. The guys on this team have waited too long and finished short too many times. We have to go all the way.
Additionally my parents are coming out June 20th and will be here for the Super Bowl, and it would be a shame if the Giants weren’t playing in it. Also I don’t fly home until July 15th , and I doubt I’d still be receiving pay checks if we aren’t in the SB. So I was ...
... I wanted to institute against Bergamo. I talked to Coach Wood about them, and he liked them. At practice he explained them to Tisma who then accepted them. I appreciated it, because usually Tisma would look at things I’d drew up and dismiss it or tell me it’s already in the playbook. Wood took the time to explain things to him and Tisma accepted most of them.

Trento, Italy bortolotti... trip on our way out of Linz and wanted to join us....We meet some funny people. We did our first 100km day (102km to be precise) folling the Danube (or Donau) upstream to Passau (which is in Germany). Then we follwed the Inn and the Salzach to Salzburg, a beautiful city on the edge of the Alps - they were looming ever closer! We decided to do a 'half' day the next day and walked around Salzburg in the morning and ...
