... morning so we couldn't wait to get out of there. When we are gone for this amount of time, we need internet. I get so peeved, I can't even see straight. When a hotel touts WIFI they should have it. This is always one reason we select a hotel.

Tonight we are in a Comfort Inn about 35 minutes from the Basel airport. We have English speaking television and a great internet connection. WE are waling to dinner to a mussels and frites restaurant. ...

We got up, had breakfast and headed out of Beaune on a couple of driving tours that the Rick Steves book contained. We drove through some small villages and some nice vineyards. ... had a tower to climb, so we climbed it. It was very worth the effort as we were able to see the whole town from the tower which took 329 steps to climb. We also went into the bell tower and were able to see the church's sixteen bells. Some are very large, and heaviest weighs almost 7000kg. We then went on a walking tour of the town using a guidebook. We followed ...

Tuesday and Wednesday we spent in this town, high in the Black Forest. We hiked a bit up to the waterfalls, then went through every store looking for cuckoo clocks. Didn't find any that I liked that didn't cost over 1000 euros. But it was fun and these are handcrafted here. It lovely up here. Roads are fantastic. And the speed limit on the two Lane roads we are using is 42 to 50 mph. And that is ok with all the swerves in the road. Photos to follow. Hope this finds you all ...
