    ... that the alternative was no flight at all, I couldn't really complain. Since flights had been cancelled on Monday I expected the flight to be packed but, it wasn't. I even ended up with an empty middle seat next to me.

    Landing in NY around 8:30 PM the first thing I was struck by was the sky. We hadn't seen "night" in a week. Boy, is it dark!

    Well, there you have it. Iceland. There's no place quite like it. Thanks for joining us on this ...

    And we're off!

    ... is across the road. As I walked pass I peeped in to see if the portion size is as crazy here as made out.... The couple's milkshake were about the length if my head! But when in Rome! So will definitely treat myself to one of those at some point! Settled for 9 days so I'll hopefully get a chance to really know Boston! All that travelling and time difference might be catching up with me! Time to turn in an see what happens ...

    ... I know it's good for my health and state of mind, yet in the morning my body refuses. We know that eating an apple is better for us as a snack than eating a hamburger or a candy, yet we convince ourself of choosing the unhealthy treat (despite knowing the feeling of shame afterwards). These are actions more concerned with desires, but they are good examples of how our mind works. In cartoons this dillemma is often pictured as having an angel on one shoulder and a little devil ...

    ... top, but we put them on anyway and they were lifesavers! It would have been FREEZING without them out in the wind on the boat!

    After whale watching we grabbed dinner at this fish and chips place right next to the harbor that was SO GOOD! It was like a fish and chips bistro, really good fresh salad, potatoes, and fish. YUM. And, wait for it. Our waiter dude had been to Glen Arbor, MI, loved Cherry Republic (obviously, who doesn't?), and knew the owner of Leelanau ...
