We woke early to still overcast skies. The patisserie across the bridge opened at 8 and I bought the breakfast croissants - pain au chocolat for Jonathan, pain au raisin for moi! Fortified with those and coffee, we decided to go out for the day to Paimpol and the Ile de Brehat. The forecast was for warmer weather but still some showers, and Tuesday is Paimpol market day.

We came down to this barren place, a few miles from Paimpol because of its sheer beauty. Looking out across the water we can see the car free island of Brehat. It has a population of only 350. But the thing that I find most awesome are the plethora of rocks sprouting from the still waters. Mid afternoon just before HW we set off for our next destination. Got a bit of a sail in which was nice.

We anchored not far from the entrance to river leading to Morlaix.

In the morning we took the dinghy to the mainland opposite where we were anchored and saw the Cairn de Barnenez (ancient burial chambers) quite amazing. We then proceeded to Morlaix for the HW lock in.

We took a short passage to Treguier following the buoys leading through numerous rocks and islands.
We anchored close to the village, below a very impressive Château. It was a very peaceful nights although it rained most of it so we were not able to enjoy the view of the village from the cockpit.
