WE make our way out of the mountains and start heading towards the coast again, getting into Agios Nicolas in the late afternoon. A brief stop at this port town and we head back to Heraklion to say goodbye to the Yaris. Not sure if Louise is very sad to see it ...

Then found when I got to the airport I would need to pay 35 Euro for my bag; almost as much as I paid for the ticket. However, A quick reshuffle of my stuff and all was well. Except me that is. To get my size and weight down so I only had hand luggage I put my boots on (rather than sandles), put my trousers on over my shorts, my shirt ...

Today we had a long drive along the highway to Knossos, an archeological site. It was a Minoan palace which is nearly 4000 years old. It was home to a king who asked Apollo for a bull to sacrifice to honour Apollo. The bull was so beautiful though that the king sacrificed another one, which made Apollo angry. He then made the queen fall in love with the bull, which produced the Minotaur, a half human, half bull, which lived on human blood. A labyrinth was built to ...
