    ... and be seated more comfortably. The train stops at Barron Falls for a photo opportunity, however the falls are not that impressive as they don’t have much water going over these days due to the fact that a dam has been built upriver to provide the Atherton Tablelands with water. The stop is for only 10 minutes and we are soon on our way, arriving not long after at Kuranda with its lovely old station. We have a coffee in the tea rooms ...

    ... the beers were two for one so our stay there was for a good hour or more. We left and walked in the rain to a place that had a group of oldies sitting around a table out front playing some music.

    By then the wind had died a little so I took advantage of it and got as close to shore as I needed to and then began heading back to our spot. About half way along I saw Brad walking towards me and I felt relieved, although I was out of trouble now. He told me the time and I'd only been gone for 20 minutes.     ... will amuse you all. Whilst playing music gene have a shower on my first morning my phone fell and the speaker appeared to have broken. Looking for solutions online someone recommended dropping the phone again which would solve it. Being the genius that I am I followed this advice and unsurprisingly, my screen smashed. We'll put it down to a moment of madness. My next stop now is South Africa and the Kwantu Game Reserve where I'm spending their next six weeks doing animal conservation. Love to all ...
