... is of no use since I for got the link in adapter that needs to be there. So went on my first trip to Stockholm city and managed to find a shop which provided me with what I needed. Packed dinner from there and came to the room.
Monday was another day. I realized that it takes 330SEK to reach my office from the hotel. With help of my colleagues, moved to Stockholm central. How I got to the office from there, is another story for another day.
... on the water front on the small island of Lilla Essingham. Stockholm consists of 14 islands all connected with an array of bridges ....it looks confusing at first but you soon get the hang of it. As there were no buses we took a cab to his apartment stopping by at the local sushi bar - a welcome delight after my Ryan air hot dog. His lounge has huge windows with no blinds, consequently I woke up on the couch around 4am with the sun... my eye mask in a ...
Stockholm, Sweden redbikini... However, this is fine with me because it is nice and dark for us to catch up on our sleep. The sun rises so fast and sets so late here, it is difficult to get some shut eye. And we have been moving around so much these past 2 weeks, it is nice to have a quiet and dark room. =) Happy Anniversary to us!! Today is our Anniversary and we went sight-seeing around Stockholm. The first stop ...
Stockholm, Stockholm, Sweden bubbajamchin... time I can't see daylight in 3 weeks. The sun is completely useless to me here in Sweden. I don't even try to guess the time based on the brightness or position of the sun. It seems to be dimest around 10PM which isn't saying much since you could still read with it, but by 3:00AM its almost sunny. You could stay up for months waiting for dusk. Tomorrow we head back to Lulea, where we will try out the dance clubs that Lee had so much fun in. If you ...
Stockholm, Stockholm, Sweden kyle-and-lisa... north side or in old town. On the suggestion of the girl at the front desk, we took the subway 15 minutes south to find a laundromat. Just like getting a bed on an overnight train, Karla and I have learned the value of having your laundry done for you. Especially when you are on vacation and you could be walking around the city instead of doing your laundry. After dropping off the dirty clothes, we walked around old town where we had window shopped the previous evening ...
Stockholm, Stockholm, Sweden tbassplayer... know how many people were sleeping well so i plopped myself down right in the middle of the hall way near the door, only to find out in the morning that there was room for me on the bed. i slept with a backpack for a pillow and a rain jacket for a blanket. GHETTO. saturday we walked around the main part of the ciry and saw parliment and the palace and all the major highlights. the town is absoloutely beautiful. i love all the old buildings ...
Stockholm, Sweden korvette923... again for more drinks but i can barely keep my eyes open. Murray taking over here...It's now Monday but I'll fill you in. That night only one of Elin's friends came over, the english translation of her name being Karen...It was a tasty little even but the salmon was dangerously under cooked, let it slide though. Didn't want to ruffle any feathers. Later that night we went out for drinks, saw a tiny but of the city center and then chuffed off to bed fairly ...
Stockholm, Sweden barber.timothy... few attendees. I was overdressed and that is unusual for me. The service was all in Swedish, which is cool. I like the experience. I did not understand a word of what the lady preacher said but it is all good. I skipped communion. One of the highlights for me is that the service ended with the Lord's Prayer in Swedish. Wow, it feels so good to be in the house of the Lord always! After a quick bite, I headed for ...
Stockholm, Sweden jan_heineman... and is absolutely beautiful. We then did a boat cruise through some of the canals, but by then we were pretty zoned out and probably didn't appreciate it as much as we could have. I had decided the day before on a whim, that I wanted to get a tattoo in Sweden, so after our boat ride we trecked around the city some more, looking for tattoo places. In the end I couldn't find exactly what I ...
