      ... we arrived in Poznan a really nice looking place but unfortunately I have another train to catch the "Jan kiepura".       ... like stock. Quick rewrite of the script. Soup is now on the menu. However it is a bit thin. No problem. Tip in a couple of portions of chicken fricassee. And the tatties and the broccoli. Then simmer for a while. Add pepper to taste. Despite its rather unplanned nature it was very tasty indeed.       ... the traffic melted away and the road improved. Still lots of 200m long speed limits for things like bus stops and road junctions, often backed up by speed cameras. This played havoc with average speed and fuel consumption, but at least the suspension didn't suffer too badly. Strangely, there were no laybys or parking spots, so at lunchtime we pulled in in front of a hotel and restaurant and ate in their car park. Or was it part of the public road? Who knows?
