I think we were on the road before 08:00 this morning. ... Milan in the 19th century. It is now home to a series of museums and art collections. We passed through the central courtyard to and wandered through the extensive Parco Sempione, stopping to get up close to some local wildlife. Afterwards we headed back into the retail district for a spot of shopping before mixing it with the rush hour traffic on the trip back past Lago di Como to Morbegno.

But after 8 days of mountain villages, the contrast is shocking. I can only imagine what it must be like for someone who's lived his whole life in the mountains to come to the Big City!
