(Terry) We return to Piazzo San Marco via vaporetta to tour the Doges' Palace. We've been told that 12 cruise ships are in port today and the Piazza and walks along the water are already teaming. Luckily there is no lineup at the Palace. We buy audio guides to help us better appreciate what we are seeing. The Palace was the seat of Venetian government and home of its ruling duke or doge.
