... the tour attendant was much happier selling a tour than explaining about what happens when you miss a tour. Was at the meeting place with time to spare. The tour was very very commercial - over 100 people. I was a bit disappointed as I have been so lucky with all my other tours and activities - there has never been over 20 people. We were just dumped on the islands and given a few brief instructions and then told what time to be back at the boat. Murano was ...

... humid, as it had apparently rained heavily yesterday. We found the cheapest bottles of water at the fortress cafe - only 50 Euro cents each. After the Fortress we wandered through the streets of the town which were very clean. There were a number of "Fish Spas" there where you put your feet in a tank of water and little fish nibble your toes! We were told it is very relaxing. Kathy and Christine were tempted but would have had to put our hot shoes on afterwards. We ...

... place ever in Venice was certainly worth it. I took more pictures of the gelato, cannolis, pizza, and wine than of anything else in Venice. Pictures of Jason and me with nude statues were a close second. We are so immature.

We decided to head back to the ship and travel like the locals[1]. We went off route with city boats, buses, a people mover, and then scaled a wired fence to save another half mile walk ...
