    ... and have to keep the same colours like a light pastel yellow, pink or orange. Next we stopped at Vernazza for a wine and pesto tasting (this region is famous for Chianti(?) a sweet white wine) can't remember the name. They even gave the girls a glass each! When in Rome Hey!!     ... solo, is from Staten Island. We chit chat to get to know each other during dinner and have a nice time. Our couple from the previous night do come over and explain that they had to change tables (because of the noise) but that there is room for us to join them if we wish. However, I wouldn't feel right leaving Carol by herself, so I think we will stay put. Well tonight we head down to the casino to lose some money and then off to bed.

    We headed to the Allegro dining room and again got lost! We did bump into the Executive Chef who agreed to help us. Off we went through the kitchens and the staff entrances to our restaurant. We were in the city for about 4 hours, most of the afternoon and after a walking tour with our guide, we then had time to roam the streets and explore some of the sights.     ... price goes up by a couple of euros...also in Florence as in many European cities you have to pay to use the toilets. I was happy and relieved to find that since my last visit to Italy,28 years ago, they have mostly upgraded their toilets from the old "starting block" type ( hole in floor) to western style toilets.
