... before returning to Salerno around 2pm. During our city wanders today we found an old aqueduct that has simply been incorporated into the city streets, and many more churches, including the Church of the Assumption that boasts that colorful dome we photographed yesterday. We had a late dinner at a Neapolitan pizza place, found a chocolate shop for dessert and returned home to ponder our itinerary for tomorrow. Until ...

By far the saddest part was seeing the plaster casts of a family who had been caught in the ash cloud and ensuing mudslide, frozen in time. The mudslide hardened around them and when their bodies decayed it left a perfect impression of how they died. aspects of our cooking prowess. The greatest compliment is that
they eat it and serve it to their guests. No one has died this week that we know of. :-). We are having great fun in
the cooking classes and can recommend them to anyone, even a non-cooking
spouse. The lone male in our class is
very reserved, but his wife is very bubbly. ...

After a half rest day and an afternoon test on Sunday, we dedicated Monday to visiting Magna Grecia. Our first stop was the Tenuta Vannulo just outside of Paestum. This is a three generation family farm that has been in operation at that place for more than a century. Recently, they converted to organic methods and retooled with the most modern dairy technology. The result is a farm which makes the most amazing ...
