Walking Tour of Brussels
After breakfast we went to the supermarket and bought some supplies then returned to the hotel to get our coats as it had begun to rain.
We commenced the walking tour from our Lonely Planet Belgium and Luxembourg guide starting in the Grand Place. We walked down Rue Charles Buls past a plaque dedicated to the city by its artists and a …
Belgium Pit Stop
I'm writing this on a train to
Luxembourg, which is just a temporary stop, but Alex and I are slowly
making our way to Lyon, which is considered a hidden gem of France.
Our original goal wasn't to get there, but there have been some bumps
in the road, and our hand was kind of forced to make some decisions,
but I guess that …

And what do you know, there was a game vs. Denmark that everyone was already celebrating and getting ready for so we decided to go to a bar and join in on the fun with the locals. After a quick lunch at the most amazing falafel place ever, Maoz (super cheap and unlimited veggie toppings and ...

We found that he has more outfits than Wesley ...

TravelPod Member ReviewsAris Centre Hotel Brussels
This hotel was ideally located a short walk from the Brussels Central station and the Grand Place. he rooms were large and comfortable although there was no minibar. The staff were friendly and helpful and as we got a cheaper weekend rate it would be a highly recommended hotel for a weekend visit to Brussels.

Historical Traveler Reviews Aris Centre Hotel Brussels
Centrally located - business hotel
Once again chose a hotel on the basis of reviews on Tripadvisor. Very centrally located hotel - from upper floor room could see tops of buildings of grand place, a minute to grand place, very accesible to main Brussels sights and to tube / tram station to link with eurostar. Managed to get a good rate on a room for one night via last minute website, at least it was good value when compared with advertised room rate in hotel when we got there. Clean, nice bathroom, TV with BBC coverage, quiet hotel, seemed to be mainly business people (we were tourists) plain but nicely decorated, room was a tad chilly and seemed to only have a fan type heater (bathroom toasty though had a proper radiator) - although did not ask at reception about this. Good varied breakfast, although breakfast room felt a bit odd as was part of reception area. Only compliant would be that we had a room overlooking main street and whilst this was relatively quiet late at night was very noisy early morning when rubbish seemed to be being collected! Only there for one night so not sure whether this was a daily thing or not .... but didn't appreciate the noise and early wake-up call with bottles being loaded into trucks and so on!
Quality and Value
Centrally located, modern style hotel. Courteous staff, good breakfast included in price.
We consider this to be a bargain.
Very nice centrally located
You cannot get wrong with this hotel. We paid 75euros per night. Steps from Central station. One block from Grand Markt. Very clean, nice sized rooms with full bath.
Perfect Location, Good Hotel
Nice, clean, friendly, efficient hotel in very convenient location. Two blocks from central railway station and one block from Grande Place. Safe in room but no way to make drinks but then go have a beer outside. Situated near lively square but minimal noise when windows closed. Let down only by weak air conditioning.
Comfortable & incredible location
while the flower carpet I stayed in that hotel, and I advise going there if you don't wanna pay as much as in other nearby hotels.
It was really cheap cause of internet deals in hotel's web page, and though it's not luxuriuos at all, i can't complain at all. the situation is exellent, and you must ask for rooms finished with 5, the ones in the corner of the hotel.
Great surprise, great location
After reading reviews from this site and finding a good summer special price, we originally booked at the sister hotel, The Astrid. However, due to overbooking we were moved and arrived at midnight to the Aris Centre Hotel. The room was small, but the bathroom was reasonably large, very adequate and modern. We were very pleased with the variety offered at the Breakfast buffet. To our suprise we walked out the door and in a short one block walk we were in the Grand Place, the center of the tourist area; a place as busy as Times Square. This hotel was so convenient to everything we wanted to see. The staff were friendly and helpful, we would definately stay here again.
Perfectly located

The PERFECT and ONLY place to stay!
Walk out of the Bruxelles Centralle train station, across the street through Le Meridian, and down the hill toward the Grand Place. BOOM! - the hotel is on your right. Yes, you are ONE block from the Grand Plaza and approximately TWO blocks from the train station. We are two adults that stayed here on 04 and 05 April 2003. The hotel is clean, the rooms are great, and a wonderful daily FULL breakfast is included in the room rate. Our room overlooked the main street and was, on occasion, somewhat noisy although it was never annoying to two, tired, old people like us. If a little celebration noise is a concern, request a room away from the front views. Everyone on the staff is very courteous. I cannot say enough about this property. Look nowhere else - this is where you want to stay!
