Our last day on Santorini and we awoke to another glorious day so it was hard to leave. After another delicious breakfast served to us by our gracious hosts we thought we'd better have one last walk to take in the views and walk off a little of our breakfast. Impossible to walk it all off. It was tortilla and some kind of pastry as well as grapes and cheese accompanied by the freshly squeezed orange juice and black brewed coffee. We had to be out of our room by ...

My arrival on Paros didn't get off to a very good start, as when I arrived into the port at Parikia, there was no one from the hotel there to take me to the resort. Fortunately, a nice man called Danos who was selling rooms, offered to call my hotel and let them know that I was waiting for them. Kathie and I stepped off the Emirates B777 at Athens Airport and made the familiar route to the Immigration Counter and then Baggage Claim. The lines for non EU citizens were always long with delays up to half an hour sometimes. This day we were lucky though and we were through in ten minutes. Next to pick up the luggage, this included a package with our two solar panels that we had so desperately needed, plus our two folding bikes. Also some provisions that we ...

... Sunday almost everything is closed and most of the restaurants are fully booked. We headed into Ermoupolis and were lucky to find a restaurant in a little alleyway. I had the most amazing slow cooked lamb with lemon potatoes for lunch. The lamb just fell off the bone and was infused with the flavours of the herbs they had rubbed into the lamb. The Greeks are wonderful hosts, the restaurant owner gave us a free dessert of loukoumi which is a local sweet.

A little restless during the night wondering if the Artemis was running and if not what do we do? The options were to stay on Syros for another night or two and go to Naxos or, do this section in reverse and catch the Aqua Jewel and go to Sifnos.

Artemis was prior to our trip leaving for Andros at 4-30 but when checking she was still in Syros. It seemed she wasn`t going anywhere as we had been told.

I went out early to see ...
