Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan odekake

My friend took me to the Moerenuma Park (http://www.sapporo-park.or.jp/moere/en glish.php) where a famous Japanese-American architect/designer, Isamu Noguchi designed.
He's famous for those Akari series lights (you can see these at IKEA often).

I heard this place was just for garbage dumping... and the city of Sapporo decided to have a nice park here.

... which the tourist office neglected to tell us!). By this point our bus had gone and the next one wouldn't be for 5hrs!!! Tried to walk around a bit as there were some local trails, but the snow was everywhere and at one point I fell in up to my waist, so we decided to give up on that, even though I tried several different paths. It was pretty cold and we ended up sitting inside the closed ropeway station having a chat for hours. Ended ...

We're in Sapporo now and it's absolutely amazing. However the hostel is charging ten yen per freaking minute to use the internet - which adds up to roughly $10 AUD an hour. So there won't be any further posts until we reach Tokyo again in another three days.

The one end of the stadium opens up, hundreds of seats are moved around, the field is slid in, and the stadium is converted from baseball to soccer in about 12 hours. I only got a few moments of sleep, but shortly after 6 AM we arrived in Sapporo and went to our hostel here (called Ino's Place). Of course we arrived way too early and had to wait until lunchtime before we could check into the 10-people room.
