    ... really enjoy my privacy: an onsen is so much better than taking a regular bath at home!

    Back in my room I first had to prepare my bed, since I had a classic tatami-room with futon (first time!). After two nights I'm still not sure what to make of it. It's special, but I definitely prefer the comfort of my box spring.

    After leaving Tokyo to visit Yokohama, we returned to visit some more of the capital`s central sites. This time we headed right for the middle, arriving at Tokyo station. This year is the red-brick station`s hundred-year birthday, and it stands out as slightly older in a plaza surrounded by enormous skyscrapers.     ... back here again. On the other side we didn't go up the cable car because I'm not great on heights so after a picnic sitting at the other end of the lake we got the boat back again. However I was really pleased with our decision that we'd seen enough of Tokyo in a single day and we should come out and try and see Mount Fuji.
