Arrived on site at about 3:30pm after a really pleasant drive through the countryside, we actually crisis crossed motorways we could have used but why bother when we can go at the same speed and not pay tolls! The site is mostly closed down for the winter with a small number of pitches in use, most of them are full at the moment with transitees like us, although we are the only Brits, most are Dutch heading South.

There are no really big pitches and all are bordered ...

After a long and tiring journey we arrived at our campsite. Weather is lovely so went for an uphill walk in the evening. Just enjoying a beer in the bar now. Day by the pool tomorrow me thinks. Did a little reading by the van after breakfast and then dozed off. After lunch went and had a dip in the pool. After some much needed sunbathing we decided to have a game of tennis - Sue cheated of course! Sat in the shade now with cool beer ...

... Hubert and he thought it wasn't necessary. He played well but no songs I could sing with so that was a shame. We had a good laugh and the people there were real nice, friendly and some of them interesting. With 2 lawyers and one prefect we were well represented by the law. Again it was 2 o'clock before we left and tomorrow we would be leaving. 14th Renato's 50th birthday I tried to phone my brother but they had already left for a day of sun and fun ...

... I'm happy that the driver got the fault and I'm back on track. He drops me of on a campsite in Gannat. When I look on my map I see that I'm 180 kilometre out from my family and start daydreaming about how great it would be if I could make that tomorrow. There's a Dutch couple on the campsite and later, there's also a Scottish couple coming. I have a nice chat with both couples, very nice ...

... is COLD!!! I leave the house at 8:30 in the morning, and the ground is frozen, I can see my breath, my ears are stinging.

          I. LOVE. IT.

I was actually disappointed this week to find that it was warmer than usual, and I didn't need my gloves. There's something I just love about having to wear all those layers and crunching over a thick layer of ice.

I'm really happy with this little town. I can't believe how fast time is ticking by. I already want to come back.
