    Last day on the canal boat. We decide to stay in the port for a while and leave either just before or just after lunch. We have a bit of a sleep in and then get up and explore the area. It is a little strange. There is a very large truck stop nearby with a 24 hour service station, a hotel and the restaurant, cafe, shop building.     After brekky, we're keen to get away as close to possible to 9am and before The Caroline, a longboat for hire with crew, gets going for the morning. These long boats are great but if they are ahead, they take up the entire lock and there is a fair bit of waiting to be done before we can get through the locks.     ... in Paris which is always wonderful, especially when it doesn't rain. Found Amsterdam interesting and the galleries wonderful. Enjoyed the experience and sights of the two cruises, but feel we can cross river cruising off the bucket list now.
