    ... successfully with the help of a few friendly people. Germans are very helpful and if you ask for assistance go out of their way to get you to where you want to go. We arrived at the cruise boat successfully and were ushered on board to our cabin. He is a Bulgarian engineer who is working in hospitality to improve his English language skills, so he can get a job in IT here in Germany.     ... amp; as soon as you have finished another one is served & a mark on your mat keeps tally of how many you have drunk. The idea is that the beer is always 'fresh'...cool & freshly drawn. Worked well..J had an impressive number of marks......

    ... hl after 5 pm. Traffic was crazy as there is a train strike on in Germany and the transit was shut down today. ( there was also a kindergarten strike over wages of the teachers-they were at the cathedral). Sadly that meant we were unable to visit any other attractions of Cologne ( including a Lindt chocolate museum :( ). Certainly minimizes the shopping bill when I don't have time or energy to return to shop after the tours! Dinner was lovely with chicken cassoulet ...

    After traveling on the autobahn for most of the journey, about half an hour outside of Rudesheim am Rhein we made our way onto more of a two lane highway and began to follow the curves of the Rhine River.
