Christmas music and hot weather

We went into port with Breaane and Jenny, and we had a lovely day of shopping and good Turkish food. It's interesting to go back to some of these ports that I have been to before because you start to remember certain areas and restaurants. quite interesting actually.

As we would get out of the territory of one store then next person we saw would say now it was his turn and start telling me they had bargains, After a couple of hours of looking around the port we stopped for a beer and then worked up the strength to go back through the gauntlet of salesman to get back to the ship. ... It was mostly the same group that went out in Istanbul (the Spa group) and they decided on Burger King - well, you couldn't drag me into that place. So Daniela and I just walked through the Bazaar, had a coke, and hung out. The temperature was perfect, not a breath of wind, safe, relaxing - doesn't get any better!

Sun, surf and sandwiches
Slept in, read some books, packed lunch. walked to the beach. We were the only people game enough (it's still early spring here) so the cafe gave us free beach loungers. The younger girls were game, but it took till 2 pm before Jem and I braved the chilly waters.
We all managed to go home with sunburn though, and thanks to the gas man arriving this morning, I'm in the middle of cooking spaghetti and meatballs. ...
