... on board the fast jet ferry to Athens or Piraeus Port and had been told the trip would take five hours. Five hours has come and gone and we are still tossing our way across the sea and will be for another 2 1/2 hours apparently. Its turned into a bit of epic journey and although its more comfortable than a plane its still a very long time to be sitting around and we won't be climbing into bed before 11.30 tonight. Its quite a rough ride at the moment as the ...

After dancing around watching the sun go down Aaron had organised to go to an amazing seafood restaurant in Oia. We had the hotel organise a transfer there as it was about a 30 minute drive away. The bus was empty and we had it to ourselves. The bus driver was so friendly and as it was a long steep road down to the restaurant he reversed down the entire way just so ...

... a very up market place that knew how to put it on for tourist. But still very nice place. Lisa tasted some nice fines and finally a red that was kinda sweet tasting! Returning to the hotel we showered up and cleaned up. We made the call to try take all our bags at once while dropping off the quad. It worked a treat. I drove while Lisa held onto pretty much all the bags. One of each side. We dropped the quad off, easy as picking it up. ...

Still sore and moving a little slower than usual but finally got ourselves up and ready and caught the bus to Fira and then another bus to Firostefani to have another nice meal at Galini's.

Once again we enjoyed the view, fine food and being able to get some work done. We took the bus back down to Fira and then the bus to Katerados and stopped at the grocery store for a few
more things for dinner and headed back to our place to fix our dinner and relax.

... everyday tourist. I believe people who holiday there have money and found the shopkeepers only to be interested in those who buy. 125eros for a bikini from Brazil! The backstreets of the old town are lovely to walk through, beautiful flowers and pele obviously take care and pride in painting their buildings, however there is a snobbery about the place where dining is also expensive. Many French, German and Spanish tourists here. Lots of seafood. Kolymbtheres beach is ...
