    Naxos

... chocolate parfait, chocolate caramel and many more. So all in all a very relaxed time spent in Naxos. Oh except we are pretty sure the maid took €20 euros from each of us on the first day so we are now locking up our belongings. It was a very cute place, definitely somewhere to bring small children so who knows maybe one day we will be back together plus minions. I hope this week has been good for you and as relaxed as finishing your job and starting another can be. I love you ...

    The final bit

The sea was much calmer than the night before and the engine worked reliably all the way. Somewhen in the process, G had woken up and I had brought him up to speed. As I sit writing this at the top of the world I take a deep breath, pinch myself and wonder if I am the luckiest person on earth today? Mum... You have these photos on your wall and I am now IN ...

... but it seems to suite the Santorini feel so I think why not. I sit down and sink quickly into my surroundings. The perfectly pressed linen blowing softly in the wind , the sun newly set and the sound of the music conveying a soft and romantic tone. My soon to be light and skimpish meal will equate to more than the cost of two nights in my hotel but I don't mind, I barely flinch at the thought. I deserve what I'm now calling a spontaneous or impromptu luxury ...

... place which Lachie instantly saw and wanted to do and was like a kid in a candy store. We got off the bus and walked along a tiny road with no footpaths, where the cars and buses and ATV bikes would overtake us (sometimes a little too close for my liking) but we eventually found the turn-off to our hotel and headed towards it. The hotel was a beautiful place on the side of the cliff overlooking the water and a small island in front of us. It was made of ...
