          ... and how awesome my mom is for taking us. We walked around in Rio and visited some attractions. It is such a beautiful city. There are all these mini bays filled with turquoise water, and the Christ Redeemer statue (one of the 7 Wonders of the World) looks over the whole city, and lights up purple at night. I think it's a perfect temperature, it was pretty much 80 degrees every day while we were there. We had a subway station right ...

          ... Botafogo beach and managed to rope Leo in, a lovely Brazilian guy. Little did we realise he is a personal trainer so ended up doing suspension training, very funny! We managed to convince him to spend the day with us so we ended up with our own personal Brazillian guide, result! We went to Escardaria Selaron, which are some really cool mosaic stairs, the work of a Chillian artist, his tribute to Brazil! Apparantly he is often there but could not see him when we were there.

          ... bario consisting of leafy streets and beautiful old houses. We visited Parque de Ruinas which has 360 degree views of the city but the museum we wanted to visit was closed. It was only closed one afternoon a week - the one we went on, although no website told you this! It seemed that Rio was conspiring against us...

          That evening we met up with Nathan and Phillipine who we had met in Mendoza. We took a few beers down to the point at the end of Impanema Beach ...
