    Another driving day on the bus today, luckily the weather has begun to improve slightly. Less rain today although still very cold.
    First stop today was a 6000 year old rock carving of a reindeer in a rock. Whilst it looked liked a reindeer, I'm not all that convinced it was 6000 years old. Someone could have come down during the night with an angle grinder and carved it. Maybe even Rolf Harris dropped in during the 70's with a ...

    For some reason, I couldn't really get very motivated for our trip this year, and when Thursday night arrived, prior to our Friday morning departure, I was only half organised.
    I'd packed, after a fashion, but wasn't really happy about it.

    Haakon had the bright idea to cycle to the end of the island (it is 7km long) and he kindly? offered me the better? of the 2bikes at our disposal - he had a bare-bones stripper, and I had the admittedly shinier, girl's bike, which had some handy light-weight and streamlining items like front and rear mudguards, dress-guard, chain-guard, lights, hub-dynamo, close-weave front basket, luggage-rack etc, and as a result it weighed 15kg more..
