We found a nice camping at Almayate around 2 pm, got ourselves organized and had some lunch. We had a drink at the camping café/restaurant first and than went to check out the beach. We stayed there for the afternoon until 6 and then got ready for our paella that we ordered at 7 pm. It was pretty good and we enjoyed it sitting on the terrace till late. ... the water a comfortable temperature. However, when I tried to get into the waves, the sand changed to small pebbles under my feet, very hard to balance on and the water plunged suddenly from shallow to deep. The surf was also a little rough, so I had a very short dip!

... wasn’t all Brandy and Jelly Babies though. Michael and John did a bit of running as both are in training (ha ha- see previous paragraph..) for things ending in ‘thon’. The only feedback was ‘it was hot’. No s**t.
